The World Trust Foundation has been working since 1994 to foster collaboration in the nonprofit arena, and empower youth around the world to work in partnership with one another to create a sustainable future for their local communities and the global community as a whole. The vision of the World Trust Foundation is to facilitate communication through all forms of media between young people around the world to cultivate understanding of one another’s culture, heritage and values in ways that lead to lasting positive change. The World Trust Foundation encourages young people to engage in creative thinking and problem solving that leads to positive action. World Trust has identified five key areas of focus for positive action in the world: Economic Development, Literacy, Social Justice, Environment and Creative Expression. As young people find common ground, they will take uncommon action: overcoming cultural differences and establishing lifelong friendships to become informed, collaborative leaders of their generation dedicated to saving the planet for themselves and for many generations to come. World Trust’s past global outreach events (see history) have raised money and awareness for a variety of humanitarian projects. 90% of all money raised for specific programs has been spent directly on hands-on projects. The overall goal of the World Trust Foundation is to identify, connect and inspire the youth of the world by lifting them to greater heights and encouraging them to take their rightful place in making a difference in the world. It is imperative that we support these Young Leaders and Earth Heroes as they grow in their global awareness. The World Trust Network will embody the notion that “we all have a similar pulse and live on common ground.”
World Trust Foundation is launching a worldwide Social Network, Virtual Classroom and the IPTV Television Network, with original programming to connect youth worldwide.
